Job Description: Spanish Bilingual Paralegal

Kitay Law Offices has a position available for a Spanish Bilingual Paralegal to hire for full-time employment at the firm’s Reading office.

The paralegal will support attorneys in all aspects of case preparation and management including the following:

  •  General case management of worker’s compensation cases and personal injury claims
  • Performing new client intakes;
  • Opening and maintaining client files;
  • Prepare and draft legal correspondence;
  • Collecting evidence to support a claim, such as police reports, scene photographs, property damage estimates, medical records, and witness statements;
  • Collection and disbursement of PIP/Med pay benefits;
  • Day-to-day interaction with attorneys and clients;
  • Initiating insurance claims with first and third party insurers;
  • Frequent client contact in Spanish and English to collect information and provide case status and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Paralegal certificate or Bachelor’s degree (four years of equivalent specialized experience or Paralegal certificate and two years equivalent specialized experience may be substituted).

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Fully Spanish bilingual- read, write and speak;
  • 1+ years of personal injury and worker’s compensation experience in a law firm setting is preferred;
  • Experience with “Needles” database a plus;
  • Must have initiative, proactive work ethic, be a strong team player and have exceptional organizational skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of products;
  • Strong ability to handle multiple tasks in an environment where there is little supervision;
  • Ability to work overtime and flexibility to travel locally as needed
