Biography
Andres Jalon, Esquire graduated from Rutgers Law School-Camden and has been a criminal defense attorney for the past twenty-five years. In that time, Andres tried over sixty jury trials and thousands of bench trials throughout Pennsylvania in the Court of Common Pleas and in the Federal District Courts of Pennsylvania, Los Angeles and Ft. Myers Florida.
In 2002, Andres became Death Penalty Qualified, pursuant to Rule 801, an elite criminal license earned by a small percentage of criminal lawyers in Pennsylvania and nationally. In 2013, after a four-day jury trial, Andres won one of the highest recorded verdicts in Pennsylvania as trial counsel in Ramos vs. Astra Foods. In 2019, Andres represented an indicted defendant in the MSC Gayana case, which at that time was the largest drug trafficking case in the history of US Customs (17.5 tons of cocaine and over a billion dollars in cocaine). Andres has represented individuals charged with Homicide, Attempted Murders, Rape, Economic Crimes, Drug Trafficking at every level of Federal and State practice. Andres has also represented members of the Sinaloa Cartel, Latin Kings, Philadelphia’s Junior Black Mafia and drug traffickers from Laredo and Michoacan Mexico.
Andres is an accomplished trial lawyer and been a guest speaker-expert for the media on “It’s your call with Lynne Doyle”, WDAS Radio, MEGA Radio, USA Today and currently on Telemundo as their criminal expert. Andres served as the Latino liaison for the Philadelphia Bar Association and the Philadelphia Hispanic Bar Association. Andres grew up in Philadelphia and Guayaquil, Ecuador. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
